In 1989, Luc Leclair graduated from the University of Windsor Law school. While studying law, he won the criminal advocacy award.
In 1989, he articled on Bay Street. In 1991, Mr. Leclair was called to the Ontario Bar.
In the fall of 1991, he opened his law practice, fully bilingual, in Toronto where he focused in criminal law. He has appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal. He has also appeared at the Cour du Québec, Cour Supérieure du Québec and Cour d'Appel du Québec.
Mr. Leclair is a member of the Toronto Lawyers Association, the Thomas More Lawyers' Guild of Toronto, the Criminal Lawyers Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
In December 2011, Mr. Leclair was appointed to the Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunal for a period of three years.
Mr. Leclair has successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course.
